The original announcement talks of agreeing on scope for DFS.
Reading the quarterly it seems they have divided the DFS into six categories, I think it’s reasonable to assume they have agreed on scope.
Most likely tenders have been put out, most likely multiple companies will carry out DFS for each category.
Quarterly also talks of employing someone to coordinate and bring together each category.
As JV partners will fund DFS obviously they will need final costings before final decision. It may be a tall order to get those back before end of December so possibly another extension.

These corporations as you alluded to have a next level understanding of the market, I don’t believe current prices will affect their decision for DFS as market can change, nickel was 30K less than 12 months ago.
Price will be more of a factor for FID once DFS numbers are in.
