Nickel Industries (which have mines in Indonesia) Justin Werner says there won't be a green premium for nickel.
This guy routinely pushes Indo nickel and is obviously onboard with the China market competitor suppression and then China dependence propaganda machine is desperate. They want to stifle supply so the market has no choice but to use their dirty nickel.
The reality is Indonesian nickel miners will have their price controlled by China as EU and US policy will exclude them from the battery minerals market.
Compliant miners don't need to attract a green premium that process has already started with the recent IRA and EU battery minerals policies set in motion, of course as it is staged the prices remain low and we will have to endure such commentary for a while.
The headline should state Indonesian Nickel won't attract a green premium.
