Looks like the merger, if it occurs, will in effect be GXL taking over Pet Barn.
Surely an interesting valuation conundrum for Pet Barn owners to be looking at receiving GXL shares trading on >75 times earnings....?
And for GXL - to pay for assets at low P/E, the lower the better ... should give foundation for further share price increases... as long as the deal is not done on the same stretched valuations the ASX gives GXL.
Just when you ask how on earth this stock can keep going up, it gives you a reason to hold on.. like all good growth stocks..
