Looks like I was right. But I have been providing vet care to our livestock and dogs for most of my life. Calving problems, uterine prolapse, preg testing we do ourselves although we have required a vet for a badly positioned set of twins. I don’t know of anyone who would shoot a dog purely because of age. If their time has come a bullet is surely far better than uncomfortable trip into town in the Ute.
