Ignored this pampered pooches loss of appetite 2 times , 36 and 48 hours.
Cost about 3 grand each time. Not any more.
Megaoesophagous with reflux, pancreatitis , likely auto-immune colitis, aspiration pneumonia.
2 lots of 3 grand , I was lucky to get away with it that cheap.
Any comparison between my golden retriever and dogs in the wild probably offensive to both.
Does get fed 2 times daily. And why not ?
I would imagine you would get even grumpier and more miserable than you are, if someone decided you could get by on 6 or 7 meals a week. And no treats!
But does she get the beach and a walk daily.
It is not all silk cushions , pate and ssb.
At least her optimum diet seems to be cheap kibble and raw veges , so I can save up for the odd disaster.
On vaccinations , there is reasonable research showing that yearly vaccinations[ for some stuff] not necessary.
So keeping an eye on disease prevalence in your area , and the occasional blood tests to check antibody levels often a useful strategy.
Can always have a booster if going to a high risk area , like parvo in Victoria a few years ago[ bloody Dan again].
Kennels will usually accept antibody levels as proof of immunity.
Note: no blood test for kennel cough.
