TO Mickem, kingkev, bobF, edshann, geoffo and Dianna I have been in PET for over 10 years and have enjoyed the last few years as the first 8 were very tough with the price continually dropping down to $0.02. Like you all I believe in the product and the company and the success they they are now enjoying. Yes the price ran ahead of itself but I am expecting the price to recover in 2020.
I am writing to the PET management team to try and get further information on the figure for ZEEP solution as this could be a significant additional revenue stream in the 2H 2020.
Do you have any insights into ? 1) how much Phosphorus is captured in the ZEEP product ? 2) how quickly is the phosphorus captured ? 3) does the efficiency diminish with reuse - claims from PET can be reused up to 10 times ? 4) how easily can it be extracted back into a saleable slow release fertilizer ? 5) Mr Lachlan McKinnon our new CEO comes from NUFARM which is a major supplier of Fertilizer so could part of his role be to build revenue streams for the Phosphorus recovered from the ZEEP "The new product will be used to capture and remove phosphorous, particularly in wetlands, in filter systems and in rivers and canals. It has been shown to be effective in stormwater and agricultural drainage applications with capture rates of up to 80% of phosphorus loads. PET has established a development team to advance the product to full commercialisation. It is anticipated that commercial quantities of the new product will be available by mid-2020." 6) if we are treating the inflows from the catchment area first for Lake Dianchi then we could be collecting 1000's of tonnes of Fertilizer over the 6 months that could be onsold so it would be goood to get some insight on what this revenue stream could be.
