Costello, as an ex-pollie was reasonably balanced and made some good points, despite the gibbering galoot interviewing him.

Of course he wasn't going to give the Govt and kudos, but at least he confirmed that the last 4 years have been very tough, and going into debt was necessary. Of course, as he said, staying in debt is unwise, given the fragile state of the world economy.

Could still hear the smirk though, god love him :)
