@duty; it's my assessment that Turkiye is indeed a significant wild card in what's happening in the Middle East.
With a population of roughly ninety million people, a rapidly growing GDP already well in excess of US$Trillion, a diversified economy with a strong manufacturing base and relatively low debt / imports Turkiye is a very different kettle of fish to Iran, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, Egypt, ... it even contributes to the manufacture of the F35s the USA has gifted to Israel.

Palestine is a significant trading partner with Turkiye; Israel is not!
Since October 7th, 2023 Netanyahu's Regime has been insultingly condescending in response to concerns expressed by Turkiye about the killing of Palestinian civilians. It's even frustrated Turkiye's efforts to deliver humanitarian aid into Gaza.
