Yes I can remember saying a similar thing to Ninie, to myself when CSL floated. I said "I won't buy shares in CSL as blood products are too risky, what if someone catches HIV through a blood transfusion?"

Needless to say I now have CSL, but I paid alot higher price for them than at float time.

Every stock has it's risks I guess, but stocks like this and CSL can also give you huge rewards. You need to do your research and get a handle on both the upside and the downside risk.

"He who dares wins" is my motto now.
