Negative gearing and cgt appear to have failed to do what the govt hoped they would, in that case both should be scrapped or at least rejigged

If cgt discounts and neg gearing don’t matter much then let’s scrap them along with the fhog

NG matters as it maintains taxation fairness
CGT discounts matter as investors should not be taxed on inflationary gains and all asset classes should be treated the same
