AS much as I dislike many things about US culture the above statement is very much an emotive "shoot from the hip" utterance (maybe wishful thinking).

It's always good to be well informed before making glib statements.
On a note of more relevance to the thread header, Schiff does speak a lot of sense, imo ... it's a pity that he is so often denigrated by such blinkered commentators.
