I live near Slipper. Haven't seen him around for a long time. Since he did the dirty on his Party and his electorate, he has been treated like the proverbial turd in a swimming pool. I've been at local civic functions , school events etc in the electorate and it's been evident since he went rogue that people would overtly avoid him, refuse to shake his hand, ignore him or tell him off.
That he is in a bad place now I am not surprised. Not sure if it's as bad as he made out to the court but it may well be.
I'd normally be empathetic toward someone in such a bad place but Slipper brought it all on himself and has nobody else to blame. Thick as two short planks; greedy as ....
