true.... the journo was being a right dick.... but regardless Costello's bullish shouldering of the journo was a) unnecessary and b) made an issue by him deliberately lying about his actions.
if he hadn't lied he could have escaped the consequences. had he admitted he lost his patience and temper and had deliberately ran over the journo, explaining how abhorrent such intrusive journos are, he would likely have managed the press better. he might even have kept his job.
