At the time of writing this post, EMD is a sub $100m market cap company going quietly about its business. Some followers from the psychedelic field, members of the registrar and generally a small sphere of interested people may be aware and enthusiastic about the detail of EMD’s operations by now.

However here, at the smaller end of the market, especially on the asx, you hardly ever hear the names of Forbes listed billionaires mentioned in relation to supporting the vision of a company in this category.

And when you do, like with EMDs getting support from Andrew Forrest and Peter Thiel supporting and empowering the work that EMD does in various ways, you know that something truly special lies within it’s confines.

So what is it that investment firms and software companies set up by global deca-billionaires see in this small, sub $100m mc company?

Sector perhaps? Yes, the sector is heating up and is facing an ever increasing publicity and mainstream acceptance, however small it may be at the moment. Globally, psychedelic stocks are attracting increasing amounts of capital, greater valuations just as regulators are working on legitimising psychedelics in the medical field in many significant geographies. On top of this, mental health is becoming one of the most important medical issues during and post this pandemic.

On a local level, the TGA is about to publish a significant decision on the declassification on MDMA for therapeutic purposes within a few weeks (early Dec). Which will do wonders for the industry in terms of awareness, publicity, funding, development.

BUT it wouldn’t make sense that these billionaire backed institutions have decided that they would open the door to little old EMD and help it grow simply because it is in the right sector. The sector features are many other companies, some more established and larger in size, that are not getting the attention and resources from names such as Thiel or Forrest.

So what is it that these titans in business and investing see in EMD that the wider market is yet to see? Which aspect of the great pioneering work the EMD is doing caught their eye?

Whatever it is, you can be asolutely sure that they have absolutely checkout out every inch of the deepest corners of the company’s operations before they have decided to empower it for growth through their individual ways of support.

On top of recent Palatir news, today has been an incredible validation of EMD’s positioning and in my opinion the start of a whole new era of growth for this micro capped company.

THIS is how many small stories suddenly turn big, this is how strong pillars of major growth are established and I this is how major SP rerates can happen in a very short space of time

Good luck to all holders and looking forward to sharing the journey with you all (that includes you Twiggy)

All in my opinion of course
