Contracts to export gas to other countries have increased the domestic gas supply cost due to a reduction in availability. Not sure if you’ve ever heard of a thing called ‘supply and demand’ but it might a a term you should be familiar with. A quick google might help you out if you are unsure but I can understand how common knowledge isn’t that common.
