Brazil's federal energy company Petrobras (NYSE: PBR) has discovered new signs of oil in the Potiguar, Sergipe-Alagoas and Santos basins, hydrocarbons regulator ANP reported.
Petrobras also registered signs of oil in two onshore wells in Sergipe-Alagoas' SEAL-T-390 and SEAL-T-410 blocks.
Petrobras owns 100% of SEAL-T-390 and SEAL-T-410 and operates POT-T-606 with a 50% stake. Portuguese oil company Petrogal holds the other half. The blocks were acquired in 2005 in the seventh oil and gas licensing round.
