Not sure if you can get it for a guinea pig, however last time I was at the vet I saw a pet insurance sign. Might be worthwhile searching the net for some insurance.
I wouldn't be surprised if there will a " St Vincents " 5 star private pet hospital in the not too distant future.
Read somewhere that an " entrepreneur " has set up an ALL PET airline.
Hope your animals stay healthy and if you are serious about a career change go to Khao San Road, Bangkok, veterinary degrees were about $50 last time I bought mine. LOL.
