Well done to your daughter and I'm sure she had a lot of support behind her as well.
People recognise good vets and will spread the word. I never minded paying for our pets because that went with the responsibility of owning them.
Even when we found a big bluetongue with a tic in it, the vet took it out for nothing when I couldn't. Kept an eye on it for a day and then we picked it up and released it.
I hope my daughter follows it through, we'll support her in it.
