I wouldn't take to much notice of the market depth that you can see on the screen. It can be very misleading as most bigger buyers (and sellers) don't signal their intentions by placing large (or numerous) orders at the same time. Rather, they trickle the orders into the market as they progressively get filled. Having said this, I agree with you that buying interest is very low at present for PEX and many other explorers. The market is certainly in a downturn for most stocks including miners/explorers.
Hopefully it will recover in due course as Cu and other commodity shortages emerge.
