Hello Everyone,

The end of the financial year in Canada and the US is the 31 Dec, and as one of the posters on Stockhouse mentioned brokers in Canada would be making tax loss calls around this time of the year, and there seems to be some tax benefit to buying back shares 30 days after disposing of them within the same financial year (this opinion is based of my reading of the stockhouse forum and not my peronal understanding of the canadian tax system).

This could all be part of end of financial year trade as we usually experience in end of May and June.
