Where is 'Mountain Time' measured?

Here is a very handy Time Zone Converter for those interested:-

Using Monday, 31 Oct at 2:30PM:- I had used this converter for Toronto and came up with an equivalent time of :-
Tuesday, 1st November at 5:30AM.

That is, we appear to be 14 hours BEHIND Toronto, Ontario (allowing for Daylight Saving).

Can anyone clarify please?

ALSO - Why use this means of communication?

Would it not be better and reach more in OZ by using something like Boardroom Radio?
