Pfizer announcement

Cannot help but wonder to the veracity of Pfizer's announcement and the crazy market reaction. Whilst the news is undoubtedly good, there may have been a massive over-reaction to it (US SP500 was 4%+ overnight. MSB was -10% in US trading (basically around $3 AUD). My concerns regards Pfizer's results are that the data appears very premature. Here is the actual release (rather than the media crap and patchy CEO comment):

"The case split between vaccinated individuals and those who received the placebo indicates a vaccine efficacy rate above 90%, at 7 days after the second dose".

At initial observation, a 7 day endpoint is far too premature to be dancing a jig. Hopefully the efficacy rates continue, but it seems a little unprofessional to be touting this as "a great day for humanity" at such an early endpoint result. The trial had reported seen 39K patients receive second doses as of 8 November.

Alas MSB stock will be taking a big hit today on this. Mt Sinai have been far to slow in trialling and the door is closing in the eyes of the mkts at least.
