Sydney - Thursday - August 28: (RWE Australian Business News) -
Sigma Pharmaceuticals (ASX:SIP) says, in reply to an ASX query over a
rise form $1.185 to $1.375, that it is not aware of any information that
could explain the rise.
It says the press has referred to speculation that hedge funds
"were positioning for a break-up of the drug maker and wholesaler".
However, Sigma is not aware of the source of this speculation
and confirms that it is not currently considering a break-up of the
company.
