really hard to be definitive other than to say it will be extremely easy.
it all depends on the structure of the deal.
you may need to do next to nothing and then money turns up.
you may need to convert options prior to a given date but then at the date (ish) money turns up
you may see new shares for the BP company turn up in your portfolio
lots of things could happen depending on the structure of the shareholder endorsed deal
