Correction: the biomarker that comes up from time to time in PAA announcements and that I was referring to is the factor 4E-binding protein 1 (EIF4EBP1 aka p-4E-BP1). The other one that has comes up often (but not here in the wikipedia extract) is p70S6K aka P70-S6 Kinase 1.
Just bear in mind that the mTOR pathway signalling system, which is made up of the seperate but the inter-related mTORC1 and mTORC2 complexes is a system for the co-ordination of many vital functions, like a complex administration or traffic cop, if you like.
