Hello All,
Looks like we have competition on our oral Lymphoma B drug for doggie Cancer.
The FDA have approved Laverdia-Ca1 which is owned by a private Company Anivive Life science. This approval was after completion of a Phase 3 trial with 58 dogs. This is the first oral Lymphoma B drug given clearance.
Results were varied but well within our anticipated projections. So that part is achievable to exceed their results.
They were in brief. 29% of dogs didn't have progression of the disease for 56 days. 7% of dogs did not have disease progression for 182 days.
Costings : 41 kg dog $ 176 USD per week. 21 kg dog $ 36 USD per week..11 kg dog $ 22 USD per week.
Doseage is twice per week.
The down side is significant side effects. Including you should not have any of the dogs bodily fluids on oneself. Wearing chemotherapy gloves to dispose of their waste. Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, anorexia, increased thirst, increased urine output and lethargy increased liver enzymes.
Ok, so how does it work. The drug prevents certain cells to leave the nucleus of the cancer cells to stop replication.
The comparison. Monepantel has achieved a median survival time of 138 days. Greater than 70% of dogs have stable disease. Monepantel has achieved reduction in tumour sizes up to 19%. Monepantel administration achieves dogs to have a high quality of life. I am sure there is more. But, I will let you tell us more.
I have mentioned before of our strategy. Considered, that we do have minor side effects, there is a possibility of placing our dogs on Maxalon a very cheap effective anti nausea treatment that will allieviate most of our minor side effects. Giving an even greater quality of life.
The upside of this , is that we know the minimum amount of dogs we need to satisfy the FDA. Secondly, we have tweaked dose age from Phase 2 and 2b trials. Thirdly, we are using a combination drug to improve the synergy of Monepantel. Fourthly our beloved dogs are not toxic during their treatment.
Onwards and upwards HC members.
( Havenots, I have not forgotten to answer the Omicron v Delta v Alpha RNA strain question, will do soon )
