One more very interesting thing that will happen with a successful study is that we will get to see what happens when the placebo patients get real implants. Then we can observe the difference in response between the same patients when they only thought they had had the treatement and when they actually did.
Sham surgery is the psychologists ultimate fantasy. I wonder if LCT has thought to invite a psychologist to review the trial.
