phase iib trials

Food for thought.

The PRR phase IIb trials research paper published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology (click here for abstract) has following authors.

Sound familiar? They are the principal investigators at the four centres for PRR's phase IIb trials (click here for the clinical trials webpage).

The paper seems to have been presented at the ASCO (American Society of Clinical Oncology).

One would expect that these professionals and members of the academia would publish papers if they are positive about the upcoming trials. Otherwise, they could have waited for the trials to have started to get a feel for it.

The abstract states that first six patients will be treated to ensure manufacturing consistency. The next 54 will be randomised between treatment recipients and plain observational patients. (This has been posted before by boiler)

The EGM presentation (page 3) mentioned that patient recruitment is imminent.

The trials have begun a few months ago. I would imagine that this would include setting up the manufacturing process in preparation for the patients. It could only be a matter of weeks for the patient recruitment to commence.
