    A quick question for the technically minded.

    Can anyone explain why the burn rate for the phase III
    study is so high?

    On googling, I note that the average cost per patient for a typical phase III is $26,000

    (see here) http://www.lifesciencesworld.com/news/view/11080

    If ATC patient total for ph.3 is 39, my back of the envelope cost for the study is $1,014,000

    Where does the extra $10m+ expended?

    Just curious.
