That is the "risk" - that it does become a drug that is used for other purposes. It might be good for the bottom line but would likely go against our business model targeting rare conditions, if it were to be used for Diabetes and/or weight loss, so not sure how that would work.
I raised this once some time back when someone (I think Hottod - apologies if it wasn't) might have shared some information along the line of 2591 normalising body weight and possibly even stabilising blood sugar levels/insulin/glucose. I was quite excited at the time because I got the feeling that it could be like Ozempic (and others) but without the side effects, which are not insignificant from what I have read.
I have a feeling though that the consensus was that it was state dependant - it positively impacted unwell subjects (I think that meant mice) but did not impact healthy subjects, so might not be entirely useful/applicable.
