Posted this in another thread but I think it's pertinent here. For the record I'm a holder of ZNO AND HCT but they are slightly different markets and applications. I think ZNO has bloomed already but HCT is yet to.
HCT vs ZNO
from a functional stand point. This is my understanding but DYOR. ZNO is alcohol free and has the same efficiency as HCTs product but the mechanism is very different. ZNO use cell Lysis where the cell membrane is physically punctured. There are some limitations to this. ZNOs product has to be dry for it to function effectively. Hence you need to apply it to a surface such as your hands and let it dry for the quoted viral lethality to be extant. You can't put it on your lips or nose as they are wet areas. . It also won't help with someone sneezing on you or a droplet of fluid of any kind (the primary transmission vehicle for these virusis) making it into your nose or lungs. Also, ZNO quotes the toxicity of their product as 'similar to vitamin C' but note the picture for guidelines on what to do if it gets into your mouth, nose or eyes... doesn't sound super organic.
HCTs product, again, as far as I understand it, dissolves the fatty membrane around the virus and kills it. It's a difference that allows pathaway to be applied directly to your nose / lips etc. The exact places where the virus will enter. There are also other potential applications that include air conditioning misting etc etc. It doesn't have to dry out to work and I'd wager (have wagered) it's actually far less harmful to your biology than ZNOs. Remember, the usual entry point for a virus is predominantly your nose, followed by your mouth and eyes. You can put as much hand sanitizer on as you like but if it makes it to those places with enough fluid to get it there, there's a chance it'll find purchase. Remember.. you can only put ZNO on your hands or other dry surfaces.
These two products both have a place in the COVID19 battle and will probably be best used in conjunction but IMO HCTs product is superior on its own for personal protection.
Also from the stand point of the quoted 99.99% and the use of the Surrogate virus. I don't think it makes a difference. The human COVID 19 virus doesn't have some extra defence, it's the same type of cell. It's just MUCH harder to work with for obvious reasons. If you feel cheated then do some research.
DYOR. Once this gets the sales data to back it up and has the attention of a few bigger fish (the day traders are still clouding the share picture) I think it'll enjoy fair winds.
