Environmental groups (if they had their way) would ban coal fired power stations.
ESI's customers will basically be Indians and Chinese.
Th government can still help in a big way - and Im sure they will. In case you wern't aware, the Victorian governments owns around 90% of brown coal reserves in Victoria. The majority of thes reserves has not been allocated yet. You reckon they will release it if they feel it has beneficial uses and can help improve the Victorian economy? Mind you there is enough brown coal in Victoria to last another 500 years if its only to be used by the existing power stations. If someone can convince the government that brown coal can now be exported for a profit, dont you think they will sit up and listen?
