If the government imposed a ban on brown coal as fuel to fire up power stations what impact would that have on global warming?
Latrobe Valley power stations can reduce CO2 emissions by 30% TODAY, but they wont because the government is only prepared to impose a 5% emissions target today.
A 30% reduction can easily be achieved TODAY provided the power companies utilise a PROVEN world class technology that is ready for immediate roll out.
I guess it depends how serious they are in fihting climate change!!!!
