Philips symposium at EuSEM 2014

Hi all,

Philips uploaded this video in late October from a seminar held in September. I'm not sure if this has been shared on here or whether many people have seen it. If it has been released previously, then perhaps this could start a new conversation and gain some further input from people!

Any how, I found it very informative and interesting to see the perspective from which Philips are at.

For those who just want information on the mini care device, the third speaker, Jeoren Nieuwenhuis, starts his presentation around the 35-36minute mark.

The main takeaways from the video are as follows;

They are in the development phase - "we are very close to launching the product"
- Instrument is verified
- Product line has been validated
- Field studies in hospital setting on going

The platform is stable and the main development focus is now on
- Final assay optimisation
- Scaling of manufacturing capacity; which will then move into clinical trials.

It was pretty reassuring to see that they seemed very confident with the fact that the device will go ahead, after mentioning that the first two attempts could not reach the required sensitivity.
