This a a copy of a post on the RED5 HC blog - thanks Gazza - incoming tide to lift all boats or just the likes of OGC ?
"A couple of reports posted over night. Main point here is the endorsement of Cimatu by Jacinto. Jacinto has been trying to keep things on even keel in the mining industry while Lopez has been running riot. Interesting that Duterte brought Cimatu into the cabinet back in April. Presumably to get him ready for the DENR secretary job. Recon Lopez was earmarked for disposal back in February. IMO Duterte has not seen the worst of the fallout from the Lopez stuffup. Its going to take a lot of time and effort to get international confidence back. In the mean time its costing him big bucks.  Got a feeling Cimatu is a major part of the plan. But he will have to work closely with Jacinto to make it work. Hopefully they will fast track development projects like Red's long term TSF to get the mining industry back on track."
