philosophy and religion
usually two very misunderstood words
first of all, philosophy has to do with love (-philic) but not as we normally understand or conceptualize.
love is enjoying some occurrence
love needs to be seen in degrees of wisdom
we can engage in actions that we love, without considering their cost
a good form of evolution (not all evolution is good) is to search out or create better events that we can love, or that lead to love, that have a lower cost than the current ones.
because of our conditioning this will often involve doing things that we may find uncomfortable, at least initially or for some time, but the payoff is better and the benefit is more conducive to the long-term, dependable, happiness
second of all, religion
religion is simply what you/we do on a regular basis, specific or/and general - end of story
since we are creatures of habit, we are all religious in our own ways, and to various degrees
the trick is to develop good religion - good habits of body, speech, and mind.
how do you know what is good? - keep checking, and developing an intimate relationship with, your heart
why would we want to do this?
go back and reread the above paragraph on philosophy
accordingly, wisdom (and peace etc ;-)) comes naturally only after doing the right things
so now we can see that nature is another often misunderstood misused word
nature arises as a consequence
