if he’s offered $2B now, he’s taking it 100% - no way he’s keeping everything on the table for a payoff in many years time - the reality of actually getting these wells into production is an enormous amount of time and risk and massive likelihood it won’t eventuate - and every month that goes buy is hurting given how much lead time is needed for construction.

lithium prices have cruelled what they would have hoped would be a quick route to profits in the bank…so the big cloud of uncertainty is going to hang around for a while now…

id be dialling back expectations considerably, so that there won’t be tooo much disappointment if nothing at all eventuates, but if a deal is made it’s a bonus

Alot of pessimism here, agreed that he'll take $2b if offered- a bird in the hand as they say. However a U.S. big oil or a Korean mob backed with government grants/incentives would be mad not to snap us up - even with a realistic 2 year+ production plan in mind..
