The Imperial County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a letter to support a loan application requested by Controlled Thermal Resources to the Advanced Technology Vehicles Manufacturing Loan Program.
The funding amount is $3,000,000,000 of credit subsidy.
Earlier, the Thacker Pass project received a $2.3 billion loan commitment from the DOE.
It took almost a year for the DOE to perform rigorous due diligence related to all aspects of a potential deal.
