According to news reports, the joint venture between BHE and Occidental begins with a project that will demonstrate the feasibility of extracting lithium using Occidental's TerraLithium DLE technology. Upon successful demonstration, BHE Renewables plans to build production facilities, and Occidental will license the technology.
Let's say Occidental forms a joint venture with Phoenix Lithium, where Phoenix Lithium will bring the resources and Occidental will license the TerraLithium Extraction Technology to extract the lithium.
Questions:
1. How will this JV be executed?
2. Will Occidental pay Phoenix Lithium, or will they receive shares from Phoenix Lithium in exchange for licensing the TerraLithium technology?
3. Does Phoenix Lithium have to spend money during this demonstration to prepare the site? If so, how will they fund it? Do they need to raise capital for this?
Or
is Nick Wakim only interested in selling the company? Then does it make any difference with the JV between BHE and Occi?
