I took a much bigger bite than two units so a $1bill valuation will still be life-changing for me. Even a (hopefully base) case valuation of US$500mill will be ten times our money. Still fantastic! A deal while the AUD is 65c or lower would be a nice bonus for us. That gives us a much better return than we would get if the AUD was still 73-74c where it was when we bought our shares. Every A$1,000 invested into US denominated shares at 73.5c, would have given you US$735 worth of those shares. At 65c, those shares would now convert back to A$1,130. So we are sitting on a foreign exchange gain of 13% on top of however much the shares gain in USD terms.
