I would strongly suggest that you contact MGM, preferably ask to speak to Mark. I'm sure that he will be happy to talk to you about this. Tell him the name of your school and ask if he can arrange for someone from the company to talk to the school and present their case why Spacetalk does not have any of the problems that have brought about the ban on smartphones. I never liked this ban for this reason and I would be surprised if the the company is not already talking to schools/education department about the benefits of the Spacetalk and why it should be exempt. I'd expect they will get the exemption with public schools through the education department but might have to talk to private schools on a case by case basis.
