As you say, you"ll either end up with some VERY cheap COE, or shares in a great little company. If the later I am sure COE's bid will at least be pressuring IPM management to realise/better demonstrate the underlying value.
That there are so few buyers for this and so many other quality stocks on firesale just shows how broken this market is.
