From my experience, companies go out to sophisticated/s708 investors and raise cash when the share price is high. They buy in and then sell out when the price is higher that there buy in price. Shareholders are then offered a SPP at a discount and by then the share price is falling due to sophisticated/s708 investors selling and then as in this case the share price is below the SPP price. Shareholders are then quite right to be upset. In my case I have taken up the full SPP @ 0.036 cents as I want to support the company.
