The PDR, which is the 750km main road up Cape York and mainly dirt was closed to HV's for three months this year which is an exceptionally long period. This area has up to 400mm a month.
Whether or not the road is passable depends mainly on the road base (hard gravel, clay, black dirt) or flooding. And the flooding areas are the low flat lying areas (obviously). Sections of the PDR can go under by 10m or more. No pushing through that. Is the big scary wet a problem? Possibly, possibly not.
