Actually, as Butcherano's recent posts highlighted, there are field cases such as Dongara where the reservoir permeability is not the sole cause of an inability to flow. Dongara may have been affected by near wellbore formation damage due to incompatible completion fluid/drilling mud (high skin factor adversely affects the ability to flow). Another possibility is they opened the well too quickly or there was too much drawdown (choke size too large) and that created a condensate bank around the well which blocked the flow of gas. Dongara is an example of a reservoir which should have been capable of flow because it's permeability was high enough, but either formation damage or too much condensate dropout may have led to the failure.
Invictus may face a similar situation in some of the Upper Angwa sands. It's best to open up wells carefully and not decrease the BHP too much by beaning up to too large a choke size. I therefore highly recommend having hydraulic frac equipment and/or Stimguns/Stimtube onsite for M-2ST well testing as back up in the event that a zone fails to flow.
