What's boiling point got to do with an MDT sample bottle filled with gas at 6000psi? Are you talking about Boyles Law which pressure, volume and temperature with each other? When you bring an MDT sample chamber to surface it cools down and pressure inside the chamber will decrease but when you drain a chamber using the proper kit you usually heat it back up to reservoir temperature..and pressure.
In the steam locomotive in the photo...the water is at boiling point for most of the time...except when the injectors are being heavily worked. The point is it doesn't take a huge amount of pressure to create a serious stored energy hazard.
Even if you're correct and volume is the killer it'd be a brave (or stupid) person to stand next to a 450cc MDT sample bottle containing gas at 6000psi+ being drained through a blow down rig only tested to 5000psi. Over the years we've managed to weed out most of the idiots who happily do stupid stuff like that and end up killing themselves or others.
