Yesterday at the Wesfarmers AGM in Perth, a man dressed as an Arab twice voiced his strong disapproval of Wesfarmers involvement in the purchase of West Saharan phosphate. For some shareholders, this was the first indication of the company's involvement in this international disgrace. Typically, outgoing Chairman, Trevor Eastwood, passed the buck to the Federal Government.
There will be a future market for Wesfarmers in phosphate with MAK! I look forward to a protest-free AGM in 2010.
