phosphorous levels a major concern, page-8

    Hi RRR

I put the link out there so both sides of the debate get a fair say, as genuine posters don't necessarily know that posters with agendas dominate discussions on HC!

We can all interpret things the way we want to, however my opinion isn't attached with immoral slant for self gain.
You could say there's no phosphorous in my ore that I've failed to disclose for years, for fear of me not getting paid a healthy salary, at the expense of the average trader.

Here's my main points I've concluded and points from various articles that concerned me, when I was still a holder.

    Kogi iron ore .8 - 1.5 wt % Phospuorous
On very similar ore body with same grade and impurities.
"Best result achieved after extensive grinding, roasting, magnetic seperation, dephos agent etc achieved best result of .08 %."

"Unfortunately the use of large amount of coal and dephosphorous agent NCP requirment render the process still too expensive."

I believe acceptable levels of phos to be .03 - .02 wt% or less for quality steel making, as quoted by several specialists.

My conclusion is that it will be too expensive to dephosphorize and still only produce sub standard ore.
But this was only part of my concern and i don't have time to explain other factors that influenced my decision.

Again my opinion only for the purpose of fair debate and to try and balance out the view of all the rose coloured glasses brigade, that seem to have an abundance of time on their hands to post numerous positive spiels daily. They must have leprosy or bosses that understand the value in letting them spend so much time on HC!!!

    Regards

    Cosmick
