    Yes weight is a force proportional to gravity. But what is the net force at the point of contact of two masses considering every action has an equal and opposite reaction? Drop a brick on top of another brick stationary on the ground. Is the force of the falling brick colliding with the grounded brick greater than the stationary brick?
