A true story.

A mate of mine has an invalid pensioner in his 60s
spend one day a week in his large garden.
He pays him $100 cash for the day.
I’ve met him.
A little scrawny bloke, but very fit and strong.
This “ invalid pensioner “ works physically hard 7 days a week...for cash.
He buries all the cash he gets.
Does not spend 1 cent of it.
He’s said he
“just likes burying money.”

He is illiterate and innumerate.

Just before Christmas he asked my mate
if he’d mind counting the money for him.
He turned up and his house
with his buried money and put it on his kitchen table to count.
My mate counted and bundled it up...

The “invalid pensioner” took it home and returned it to the earth.

It was pointed out that when he dies, nobody will be able to find it.
He said
“I’ll be dead so I don’t care.”
